What are my supervisory responsibilities?

  • Distribute tasks and projects among team members based on skills, workload, and development needs.

  • Track employee productivity, work quality, and adherence to policies and procedures on an ongoing basis.

  • Identify performance deficiencies, develop and implement improvement strategies, and document corrective actions when necessary.

  • Complete annual or periodic performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and set performance goals

  • Acknowledge good work, recommend promotions or raises, and foster employee morale and engagement.

  • Identify training needs, recommend professional development opportunities, and support employees' career growth.

  • Track employee productivity, work quality, and adherence to policies and procedures on an ongoing basis.

  • Address policy violations, attendance, performance, and conduct issues, engage in progressive disciplinary processes, if needed.

  • Ensure compliance and enforce department and university policies, workplace safety rules, CBA provisions, and all other systemwide, state, and federal workplace rules, regulations, and laws.

  • Conduct regular team meetings, one-on-one check-ins, and ensure information flows effectively within the team.

  • Review and approve vacation requests, sick leave, review and approve timekeeping records, and manage daily work schedules to ensure adequate coverage.

  • Facilitate disputes between employees and address interpersonal issues that affect team dynamics or productivity.
